THE LASH LIFT

My lashes have always been an issue for me. I can’t even tell you how many mascaras I have tried, everything from high end to £2. The issue has never really been length as such, my lashes aren’t particularly short, however they would just never hold a curl. I would always use an eyelash curler before applying mascara, which would elevate them for a short while, but it would never last long. After a short time they would droop and become basically unnoticeable. I had considered lash extensions, but they require a fair amount of maintenance that I knew I would never keep up. Just when I came to terms with the fact I would never have lashes like Lauren Curtis (sigh), I heard of the Lash Lift, and thought it was worth a go!

The treatment itself took a little over an hour (patch test carried out before hand), and in short what happens is your lashes get lifted and tinted, making your eyes look more open and awake, and it makes applying mascara a thousand times easier. I immediately fell in love with the results! See below for my before and after photos…

I cannot believe I didn’t have this done sooner! It makes putting on makeup take no time at all, and you look more put together on those no makeup days (I have more of these than makeup days!) Price varies from beauty therapist to beauty therapist, I’ve seen it cost anywhere between £30 to £45, which isn’t too bad considering the results should last around 6 weeks. I had a fairly a small barrel used on my lashes to give quite an intense curl, but I believe there are various sizes of barrel depending of how dramatic you want the lift.

Overall I am super impressed with this treatment, it’s made my lashes look like I never imagined they could look. Long, lifted and manageable! So nice to not have to use an eyelash curler every time I want lifted lashes, and the result is a thousand times better than I could ever achieve with a curler. Just a coat of mascara and I’m ready to go!
