The original Urban Decay Naked Palette was the first premium eyeshadow palette I ever bought, and since then I have collected every palette in the series with the Naked2 being my favourite – until now!
With amazing formulas, super wearable shades and 12 shadows per palette it’s no surprise the Naked palettes have become a cult favourite among both professional makeup artists and beginners.
When a new addition to the line up was announced the internet accordingly had a melt down (myself included). The build up to the release seemed to go on for forever, but it was totally worth the wait!
The number of matte shades in this palette is one of the reasons why it is my favourite of the Naked family. The lack of mattes in its predecessors was one of their only set backs, as it’s difficult to complete a variation of looks with only a limited number of matte shades. Prayers were answered when Urban Decay released the Ultimate Basics palette, which acts as the perfect accompaniment to the predominantly shimmery Naked palettes. However, with the Naked Heat there’s no need to reach for any other palettes to complete a look, all you need is in one place.
For me, they hit the nail on the head with these shades. They’re easy to blend, highly pigmented and an absolute dream to apply. This palette is the perfect extension to the Naked palette range. The warm, orangey tones are really on trend at the moment, and have been for a while since featuring in one of the most acclaimed palettes of last year, the Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Modern Renaissance. In my opinion, Urban Decay were correct to jump on this band wagon as makeup junkies, myself included, cannot get enough of these kind of shades.
Have you picked up this palette? What are your thoughts?
Until next time!
